Firefighter Szary was killed in a vehicular accident while riding on a hook and ladder truck. While responding to a medical call the hook and ladder overturned while making a turn at an intersection, killing FF Szary and seriously injuring my grandfather, Joseph Czuba who was the tillerman on the truck. Szary left behind a wife and children.
