Officer Langsdorf responded to a report of a suspect attempting to cash a bad check at a food mart. As he was attempting to take the suspect into custody, a struggle ensued and Officer Langsdorf was shot and killed.
Officer Langsdorf had been with his agency for three months. He had 17 years prior law enforcement experience.
