Lieutenant Wehlage responded to a structure fire and an emergency medical in the latter hours of his shift. Later that evening, a visitor was unable to get an answer at the door of his residence. Further investigation found Lieutenant Wehlage deceased inside his home from an apparent heart attack.

Ron was like my brother from another mother we grew up together he was my best friend. I’ve known him since 3rd grade we did just about everything together. He was kinda guy that would give you his shirt off his back to help you.
