Corrections Officer Wright died from complications of COVID-19 contracted in the line of duty.
In addition to his service in the field of Corrections, Officer Wright previously served as a deputy with the Audrain County (Missouri) Sheriff's Office. He also retired as a lieutenant after 20 years of service with the Little Dixie Fire Protection District.
