Incident
While returning from a service call, Officer Matteson's cruiser was struck by a tractor-trailer that ran a red light. The cruiser overturned and Officer Matteson became trapped.
He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.
The driver of the other vehicle pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
