While responding to a reported chimney fire, Firefighter Kermeen died when the apparatus that he was riding in left the roadway and overturned.

I work in professional audio/visual. An event was held in downtown Indy for fallen firefighters on 9/11/2019. The President of the Professional Fire Fighters Union thanked me for my patience during setup as the power was not functioning.

I laughed a bit and said "I am genuinely glad to be here. My Grandfather's name is on that wall, which is also my name."

Very proud to be able to assist such a meaningful event. He walked over and handed me the flag from my grandfathers column on the memorial.
