Incident
As he was returning from taking photographs pursuant to an investigation, Chief Redar was severely injured when a semi jackknifed and struck his vehicle while stopped at an intersection. He was transported to St. Margaret Hospital where he died two weeks later.
In addition to his service in law enforcement, Chief Redar was a military veteran of WW I.
