Incident

Deputy Brock was shot twice in the back of the head and killed while transporting a prisoner to jail. He had arrested the man for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was arrested the following day and charged with murder. He was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Papaw I have heard many stories of you from my father Jack Brock Jr  your oldest son and my mamaw who loved you dearly she would always say that I have your eyes and that you would have loved me  very much I never got to meet you you was killed in the line of duty saving children’s lives on Dec 7th 1971 and I was born December 7th 1972 I have so many wonderful memories inside my heart of you from the stories of the many that loved you RIP my hero I can’t wait to get to heaven to see you as now you will be standing side by side holding my grandmothers hand waiting for me ..
