Joey and his wife are now resting in the arms of our SAVIOR .....in everlasting peace.
Joey was a friend, a former schoolmate, a servant to the community, and more importantly, a man of God. Â It's been nine years since this horrific incident occurred, but it seems like yesterday. Â I know he and Amy are smiling down from heaven at their beautiful daughter Brooklyn and all that she's accomplished. Â We miss you both terribly! Â
Horrific story. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Your story is truly tragic. Its hard to believe that type of evil exists in the world. My prayers are with you and your wife today.
Joey was an outstanding member of his community. He was a "people" person as was personifiedby his professions. He was not only a police officer, but was a Baptist minister and pastor, as well as a volunteer fireman. With over 2,000 in attendance at his visitation and funeral, it was evident that he had influenced many lives and had scores of friends. It has been seven years since that tragic weekend, but he is still missed as much as ever. His daughter Brooklyn, whom we are raising, is now nine years old and doing great. She still has her times of grief over losing both her parents, but she handles it rather well considering all that she has been through. Forgive me if I brag too much on Joey, but you know how us mothers are!!
