David was a wonderful, giving person. While I have not seen him in years I remember his friendly , outgoing personality and the fun times he shared with friends from Ballard High School and Sing Out Louisville. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. The pain of loss is lessened by the memory of such a good man.
Sincerely,
David Eisman
I was so glad I had the opportunity to work with and have the chance to call David friend. He lived to serve others, and it was fitting, that he was honored for being the hero that he was. I want his family to know I will think of him often, and that he will live on in our hearts, and that stories of David will be told in our units and stations with laughter, smiles, and love.
To my sweet darling husband...you were and always be forever our HERO...we love you and miss you so much...life will never be the same. Please watch over us and help guide us through these ever-so trying times. "Falling in love with Jesus brought the change in me..."
Gundle was always fun to be around, never a dull day with him. I'm going to miss talking to you about the good old days at Lyndon. Going to miss those blue shorts you always wore. You could never damper his day no matter how much water you have. I know everyone that ever has worked or known you will miss you and think of you every day. You went out a hero like you all ways wanted to. We all have cried. Julie we are here for you all of the emergency services family (Clark county ems and Lyndon fire)
My prayers are with you and your family in this time of need. God Bless the family and keep them strong.
David you deserved every bit of honor that you received. Every part of the ceremonies that took place I could hear you saying "Cool". I am forever thankful for the times that I had you to lean on and get advice. I miss you terribly and I find myself wanting to pick up the phone to call you and then realize that I can't. You were very special to me as well as many others. I love you my friend you will never be forgotten.

David, it's very easy in this profession to become "burnt out" over time. Your passion and excitement for the job was contagious. I am honored to have known you and your family. You are my best friend. Everyday I put on that uniform, your sacrifice will be on my mind. You are a hero to many. Enjoy your time off, you deserve it, and I will see you again. Love you buddy.
