I met Shrek when he worked at AILC - he would come into the ER and no matter what was going on he always seemed to have a wonderful smile on his face. He would absolutely raise a person's spirits by just being around ... I never heard him say an unkind to or about anyone ... he was one in a million. I am so glad that I was given the blessing of knowing him ~ my thoughts and prayers are with his family. And Shrek, always know that you made a difference in peoples lives by just being you - may you always rest in peace my friend. Always remembering you in my heart ...

I had the honor of being a preceptor for Shrek while he did clinical time in the ED for his paramedic cert. He had the biggest heart of anyone I had ever known. I have done several scene flights with him since and his compasion for his job and life has only gotton greater. The last time I saw Shrek was on a scene flight.. he gave me a hug before we lifted and told me with that big smile, " I'll see you next time. " Shrek, I'm going to hold you to those words buddy...until we meet again, God bless.

Shrek, you rocked dude!! In a world where friends are few and far and in between, I now have one less. We are told not to mourn for the dead but celebrate them and be joyous that they are now in the arms of God. Please forgive me if I am selfish and mourn. To his family, He was loved by his coworkers. Thank you for sharing him with us. May God watch and keep you.

Shrek was a friend of mine whom I met through my wife. He was a lot of fun to be around to joke and laugh with. He was a friend to my little girl, who thought because of his size that he was larger than life itself. We visited with Shrek pretty often when he would be working on shift with my wife. I'm thankful for my friendship with Chris. Its sad to know he's gone, but what a gift the Lord recieved when He called Chris home. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones left behind.
