Incident

Patrolman Green received severe injuries in an automobile accident during a vehicle pursuit causing his death twelve years later. His partner Dale Mishler died from his injuries on the way to the hospital the day of the accident, March 25, 1967. Both officers were thrown from the vehicle. Patrolman Green received a fractured skull and a severe injury to one of his eyes from which he never recovered. He died in the Bloomington Hospital after he had been admitted for surgery. The suspect received charges for involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide and driving while under the influence.
