My Mother who was Frank Levy's Grand daughter and only two years old when he died. His Daughter who was born Harriette Levy Rockhold was my Grandmother spoke of him and how he died that night. He had just come off his dinner break at home less than an hour before he was killed. He was a big man (6feet 6 inches) and stocky. I am so proud to say my Great Grandfather was a Police Officer. He made the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect the public for which he served. My Grandmother was proud of her Daddy. Will look thru old family photographs to see if we might have a photograph of himRest in Peace Greatgrandpa. 👮♂️
I want to acknowledge Officer Levy as the second of 2 officers in Anderson, IN to lose his life in the line of duty. I do not know, nor will I ever know, how difficult the job of police officer is, but I can truly say that I am thankful to God and to the persons who felt followed, thank you.
To this day, I do all I can to help assist the police officers because of men who chose long ago to risk their lives for our freedom. I'm not sure why man feels the need to be so primitive and violent, but with law enforcement, there is more of a ballance.
Again, to officer Levy I say thank you so much, and to any of his family, I'm sure it was and sometimes still is tough. He was loved by his family, and respected by many. So, to those who say, "that was so long ago", I say, "sure, but my appreciation should never die out".
Peace be with you Frank Levy
